After roughly 15 months in “beta,” we are excited to release the first major version of UltimateWoo, version 1.0. Version 1.0 includes number of updates to various modules (WooCommerce 2.5 compatibility), as well as a complete overhaul under the hood.
Updated Settings Interface
The most noticeable difference in UltimateWoo 1.0 is the new settings interface.
Saving to Database
The feature we’re most excited about is how settings are now saved to the database. Before, each individual setting had its own row in the database. The caused users’ databases to contain more rows than necessary. In version 1.0, we refactored the plugin’s settings to save to only one row in the database.
Updating the Database
When you update to UltimateWoo 1.0, you will notice that your license and module settings did not carry over. Don’t worry, they’re not gone. Everything is still saved, but the new way the plugin now saves options is not compatible with the previous way options were saved. To recover your settings, you need to run an update on the database. After updating, you’ll notice the admin notice informing you that you must complete the database update to complete the update process. Simply click “Run Database Update” and all your previous settings will be converted so that they’re compatible with the newest release. After the conversion, all the previous settings are deleted from your database.
UltimateWoo 1.0, we feel, is a great improvement over the beta versions, and is one we will be building on moving forward.
If you have any trouble after the update, don’t hesitate to open a support ticket.
The update only change the ultimatewoo setting in database right? not others like our woocommerce products database or so.
Correct!
